Overview of the Department
Nuveen Technology is responsible for the support, maintenance and development of business systems and the infrastructure on which they are hosted for EMEA, APAC and US users. The Technology team cover a wide range of activities including, but not limited to, resolving day-to-day Technology issues, maintaining data security, developing applications for business use, and supporting hardware.
As Rotational Analyst you can expect to;
Actively Support technology and data team as part of the delivery team
Attend and contribute at team meetings and workshops to better understand the Technology product development process at Nuveen
Understand the business problem and be responsible for technology solution artefacts (Code Pipelines, Technology diagrams, Data mapping etc.)
Program Overview
The Nuveen Rotational Program offers an exciting mix of strategically aligned assignments, professional development, and the ability to experience and gain exposure to many facets of our organisation. The environment is challenging, hands on, and full of growth opportunities. Rotational Analysts will be expected to work across the technology teams and use tools to learn the techniques, disciplines and processes that deliver high quality results for our clients.
Program Highlights
This is a 2-year rotational program and as part of the program, you will have the opportunity to get grips with everything within the Technology function. You will gain hands on experience and have rotations with different globally dispersed teams across Nuveen Technology. You will get to explore how we engage and support our clients by using various technology tools and strategies.
You will have unique networking opportunities and access to Nuveen Senior Leadership; experience ongoing personal and professional development opportunities and participate in financial services and behavioural based training.
The program begins in September 2025.
The Rotational Analyst will have the opportunity to:
Translate business requirements and needs into information technology solutions, bridging the gap between various businesses and the Technology staff.
Support senior technology professionals on various projects
Assist in development, testing, and implementation of software solutions
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas
Learn and apply new technologies to solve business challenges
What skills & competencies we require:
Academic Excellence: You will need to have attained at least the equivalent of a 2.1 from a recognised University and have graduated by August 2025 in either Computer Science, Security or Information Technology
A passion for technology: Ideally within financial services & preferably Asset Management
Client Relationship Management: Experience in building relationships through previous internships, part-time work, student organisations, or volunteer roles. E.g. You should be comfortable initiating conversations with stakeholders, following up proactively, and maintaining long-term connections.
Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise written and verbal communications tailored to different audiences. E.g. You should be comfortable in preparing client ready emails, delivering presentations to a small group of your team or writing reports that inform decision-making.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in team settings by actively listening to others' perspectives, contributing constructively to group discussions. E.g. You should be able to adapt your working style to help deliver team goals & objectives.
Critical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to understand business problems from multiple angles, identify key drivers of outcomes, and propose solutions that balance competing priorities. E.g. Be able to demonstrate interest in understanding how client needs align with product offerings.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
Data: An interest in data and how data can be leveraged for business value E.g. You should be able to analyse data trends and provide recommendations that team could implement.
AI: A good understanding of the AI technology landscape. E.g. Be able to apply different AI implementation use cases when looking at AI solutions
