The AI Product Manager at Nuveen will play a crucial role in strengthening how Nuveen leverages artificial intelligence to transform the way we bring value to our investors. You'll drive operating model redesign and implement the full lifecycle of AI products from identifying high-value use cases to delivering secure, reliable solutions that create measurable business impact. This role serves as the critical bridge between our technical AI/ML teams, business stakeholders, and end users ensuring that AI solutions (Traditional/Generative/Agentic) align with strategic objectives.



Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead end to end workflow reviews and identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation
  • Lead development and execution of AI/ML product strategy and roadmap from concept to deployment
  • Work with senior product leadership and business stakeholders to understand the roadmap, product strategy, and business goals.
  • Own and prioritize product backlog based on business value, capacity, and ROI
  • Partner with engineering and data science teams in Agile environment to deliver well defined Epics, Features and User Stories
  • Define and track KPIs for model performance, business impact, and user adoption Implement disciplined execution from concept to deployment of reimagined workflows
  • Communicate product progress, risks, and trade-offs to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with AI governance team to ensure compliance and production readiness
  • Work with data teams on data sourcing, quality, and model lifecycle management Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform decisions
  • Mentor product owners and foster innovation culture

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Required Skills:

  • Experience of working in a Product Manager / Product Owner role in Asset Management / Financial services industry
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML products and financial industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful large scale business process and operating model transformation initiatives 
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven products from concept to production
  • Strong working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, model evaluation, and deployments
  • Proven ability to communicate and partner with senior stakeholders and drive alignment across business and technology functions 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools
  • Understanding of AWS cloud platforms and data infrastructure
  • Experience defining metrics and using data to drive product decisions
  • Exceptional ability to translate product requirements and technical concepts for non-technical audiences

 

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, Data Science, Business, or related fields
  • Experience with enterprise data architectures and AI/ML tools and ecosystems
  • Product management certification (CSPO, CPO, or similar)
  • Experience with working on Agentic AI workflows
  • Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads

Base Pay Range: $129,000/yr - $168,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
