The Vice President of Nuveen Leadership and Development Programs is a critical role focused on contributing to and executing the Learning & Development strategy for Nuveen. The position will be responsible for understanding organizational needs to help drive the design, delivery and administration of training programs in accordance with the organization's learning and development plan. This individual will be part of a global team and will help direct and drive work of other team members as well as guide and coach colleagues. As part of the larger Global Sales and Advisor Development (GSAD) team, this role will be expected to contribute to the broader success of GSAD, including sharing best practices and resources and partnering across the team where it makes most sense.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies opportunities to collect feedback and information related to learning and development needs within Nuveen; designs and executes a plan to collect the feedback and analyzes the data to help inform decisions
- Leads impactful decision making as it relates to program design, content, vendor selection, program logistics and delivery
- Collaborates with the Head of Nuveen Leadership and Development programs to make recommendations and identify solutions to L&D needs
- Collaborates with TIAA Learning and other TIAA People Team resources, Nuveen HR team members and business colleagues to understand the landscape, develop and deliver the best possible solutions, and keep key stakeholders apprised of important information
- Collaborates with UK-based L&D leader to drive consistency globally as well as identify ways to leverage economies of scale through vendors and cost
- Ensures all programming has metrics in place to evaluate and measure effectiveness; analyze data, draw and present conclusions around how to increase effectiveness of programming
- Identifies ways to make programming more plug and play through technological solutions and operationalizing processes
- Identifies potential new L&D programs, learning methods and technological resources on an ongoing basis to support changing strategic objectives
- Drives a comprehensive communication strategy for training and development programs
- Builds relationships with third-party resources, vendors and partners to roll out innovative and experiential learning models
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 5+ years of previous experience developing and deploying learning and development programs Required
- 5+ years of Learning to include; facilitation, adult learning theories and programs, learning consulting and/or learning deployment experience Preferred
- Previous experience with L&D tech stacks and leveraging LMS and LXPs to drive more engagement with L&D solutions Preferred
- Previous experience at a global asset manager Preferred
- Previous experience in financial services Preferred
