VP, Business Analyst

Nuveen technology and operations is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the development and enhancement of our ABOR master to support Financial Reporting. This role is key in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that the data repository effectively supports financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making processes.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT teams to gather and document business requirements related to financial reporting and data repository needs.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze current financial data systems, processes, and reporting needs to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • System Design Support: Work closely with data architects, database administrators, and software developers to design a scalable and efficient data repository that meets financial reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Data Mapping & Validation: Assist in mapping business requirements to data sources, ensuring accurate data flow, and supporting data validation processes to ensure high-quality financial data.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead testing efforts, including developing test cases and scripts, performing data validation, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data repository.
  • Documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation for system designs, requirements, processes, and user manuals to support ongoing use and maintenance.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to end-users, assisting them in understanding the capabilities of the data repository and how to leverage it for financial reporting purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest improvements to the data repository based on feedback from stakeholders and end-users, as well as staying updated on industry best practices.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
