The Senior Manager, Events role will lead the strategy, planning, development and execution of association events that reinforce TIAA’s leadership in lifetime income and strengthen existing client relationships. This role will be responsible for owning the end-to-end event lifecycle in partnership with key internal marketing and business stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive association event strategy aligned with business goals, marketing initiatives and client engagement priorities. 

  • Create and manage an annual association event calendar in partnership with Distribution, thought leadership and enterprise leads. Identify opportunities for new events and/or concepts to drive engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships and collaboration with sales organization and business partners

  • Partner with marketing, content and subject matter experts to curate thought-provoking agendas and speaker line-up that showcase institutional expertise and leadership aligning with audience strategy and reinforcing TIAA's retirement income leadership position.

  • Develops appropriate departmental measurements and key performance indicators (KPIs) based on overall business goals. Track and analyze event performance metrics and ROI.

  • Work closely with internal Event production team to ensure seamless execution and operational excellence

  • Stay current on industry trends, and best practices in association events to infuse innovation and fresh thinking into our event strategy and execution

  • Own post-event processes, specifically the creation of event recaps, sharing of insights with key internal partners, and leading postmortem team meetings

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
