The Equity Research job obtains, organizes and analyzes market-related equity information from internal and external sources. This job works closely with the firm's portfolio managers in search of investment opportunities for the firm's various equity research portfolios as well as covering existing portfolio holdings. Working independently under limited supervision, the job interprets data for equity trends and reports to management on new or potentially new product or service development.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Researches securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations.
- Develops and writes equity research reports and publications to be presented to management.
- Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their strategies, prices, sales and method of operation to facilitate recommendations.
- Forecasts future trends with statistical data on past sales.
- Develops modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods or other principles.
- Coaches and reviews the work of junior members of the team.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
