This position is responsible to review payroll calculations to ensure that the organization's payroll processes are functioning properly. Should be working under limited supervision and should have extensive payroll understanding to perform bookkeeping tasks, while ensuring the quality, integrity, and timeliness of payroll reports.

This position is responsible to review payroll calculations to ensure that the organization's payroll processes are functioning properly. Should be working under limited supervision and should have extensive payroll understanding to perform bookkeeping tasks, while ensuring the quality, integrity, and timeliness of payroll reports.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reviews the calculation of gross and net pay amounts to ensure accuracy (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.).
- Reviews payroll data, production records, and individual attendance records within the HRIS and payroll system and corrects errors to ensure the accuracy of payroll payments.
- Reviews the reconciliation of payroll records (e.g., payments, deductions, benefits) and processes the organization's payroll accurately.
- Manages employee inquiries and troubleshooting issues related to payroll that require policy interpretation.
- Ensures the balance of payroll runs and compliance with related requirements, including, local tax rates, garnishments, and related federal and state regulations.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals.
- Coordinates and processes any irregular payments (e.g., One-time payments, bonus payments, Executive deferred Compensation plans etc.) while ensuring compliance and correct tax deductions.
- Perform periodic audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of Employee pay information.
- Generating and distributing W2 forms to Employees and processing corrections & issuing W2C if required.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
