The Director, Responsible Investing Data & Technology Solutions is responsible for analyzing, creating, testing, and implementing ESG/sustainability reporting and analytic capabilities, enhancing proprietary ESG models and workflows, and supporting integration of ESG/sustainability data across the investment process and research tools. This position ensures the quality, reliability, integrity, and performance of RI data, reporting, and analytics produced for end user consumption by validating/testing that the software and outputs meet established guidelines and quality standard for investment analysis, research, trading and compliance, operations applications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Collaborate with RI, IT, and Investment team to research, design, develop, publish and execute end to end test and validation of complex applications.
  • Ensure robust process for analyzing, testing, and implementing new RI capabilities on time that meet or exceed quality standards
  • Interpret written business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop test solutions that meet business needs
  • Participate in the improvement of quality assurance, deliverables, methodologies, and processes for testing of RI capabilities
  • Identify and write test scenarios and test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria and create, run and log test cases, test scripts and results (manual and automated)
  • Identify, document, and re-execute issues or discrepancies found in the RI tools and outputs, track and report the QA activities on a per project basis
  • Work closely within the Tech agile team (Project Owner, Business Analysts and Developers) to identify, investigate, and resolve RI system and process issues
  • Review project deliverables and artifacts from a testing perspective, and provide feedback, including actively participating in a test plan review with the team
  • Clearly understand the difference between missed requirements, development bugs, production defects and backlog items. Communicate these back to the team utilizing the appropriate tools like Jira
  • Recommend innovative automation ideas to reduce the manual effort and improve data quality and efficiency
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: NRF
