ETFs represent an area of significant innovation and growth for Nuveen. Nuveen’s ETF platform currently encompasses $10B in advised and an additional $10B in sub-advised ETF AUM. The firm recently completed an investment focused on evolving and enriching the ETF operating infrastructure, increasing the capacity to scale and cultivate a wider breadth of products. Correspondingly, the ETF team is now expanding to support the firm’s prioritized growth within actively managed ETFs.
The Capital Markets team resides within the ETF department, operating as the principal point of contact across the ETF ecosystem, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Management, Trading, Sales, and Marketing. Similarly, the team serves as the primary connection for ETF Market Makers, Authorized Participants, and Exchanges. The team is looking for a dynamic, team-oriented individual to assist in growing Nuveen’s ETF prominence.
The Capital Markets Specialist role will primarily focus on managing the ETF Creation/Redemption process, ensuring the overall health of Nuveen’s ETF ecosystem, and supporting ETF stakeholders through ETF Capital Markets analysis, reporting, education, and relationship management. The broad scope of responsibilities, collaboration across business lines, and opportunity to learn, provide an environment for career development at Nuveen commensurate with individual interests and skillset.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Manage Nuveen’s ETF creation & redemption process (inclusive of custom baskets and portfolio rebalancing) through close collaboration with the Portfolio Management, Trading, Authorized Participant, and Market Making teams.
Ensure the overall health of Nuveen’s ETF ecosystem by promoting secondary market quality & trade execution, monitoring platform operations, and demonstrating sound judgement & problem solving to address abrupt issue containment, resolution, and prevention.
Support ETF distribution & marketing efforts through regular capital markets analysis, education, commentary, and reporting.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships across the ETF capital markets' ecosystem.
