The Associate, Private Placements job supports financial advisory, debt underwriting, and the origination and execution of equity or debt private placements. This job provides analytical, financial modeling, structuring, research, and transaction support to senior investment professionals. Under moderate supervision, this job works with investment banking and corporate banking teams and discusses the private placement market with clients.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conducts private placement market research and identifies anomalies and trends.
- Executes capital raising transactions for private companies and develops pitch materials to secure new business.
- Prepares valuations, writes memorandums for private placements, and participates in due diligence and drafting sessions.
- Provides reporting and analytics; tracks portfolio performance.
- Works closely with senior bankers to originate client engagements and provides advisory services.
- Supports a wide range of assets such as fixed income, equity, derivatives, and alternative investments.
- Works within a team to issue private placements and bank transactions consistent with the capital strategy.
- Builds relationships with management teams of portfolio companies and stays abreast of investment trends.
- University (Degree) Preferred
- 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred
- Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work
