The Rotational Program - Nuveen Real Estate Real Assets participates in a comprehensive rotational program that combines senior leadership interaction and cross-business experience with real life situations and projects. This job work with financial services technology platforms and tools and will learn the techniques, disciplines and processes that deliver the highest quality results to our customers. Each rotation is designed to improve business knowledge and build an overall understanding of the company. This job is assigned a mentor who provides ongoing coaching and feedback.

Overview
The Private Infrastructure Rotational Associate will participate in a comprehensive two-year rotational program within Nuveen's Real Asset team. During the two rotational program, associates will gain exposure to origination of new investments as well as portfolio management and surveillance activities across the firm's existing private equity investment portfolios including infrastructure private equity funds, co-investments, direct equity, and preferred security investments. The specific team the associate will be joining will be dependent on business need.
Two-Year Program Exposure
Investment Origination & Due Diligence:
- Assist in underwriting and management of direct equity and equity-like investments by working with senior deal team members to execute due diligence including modeling and preparing investment committee materials
- Screen and underwrite limited partnership commitments with external infrastructure fund managers through sector analysis, fund manager comparisons, and track record assessment
- Support co-investment evaluation across all infrastructure subsectors including transportation, transmission, renewable energy, storage, social infrastructure, and digital infrastructure
Portfolio Management & Analysis:
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on existing infrastructure portfolio
- Assist in portfolio activities including portfolio reviews, market research, rating agency analysis, sponsor evaluation, and investment modifications
- Research and analyze macro and portfolio trends to help drive investment goals and portfolio construction
Client & Business Support:
- Prepare portfolio materials, presentations, and investment memoranda for internal business partners and external clients
- Maintain investment performance databases and files
- Work with senior team members to ensure all legal, compliance, and accounting requirements are met
Development Opportunities
- Virtual Wall Street Prep Financial Modeling course within first 6 months
- Comprehensive exposure to infrastructure investment lifecycle across two 12-month rotations
- Development of specialized knowledge in alternative investments and infrastructure sectors
- Direct mentorship from senior investment professionals
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Must have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or higher prior to the program's start date
Desired Experience & Skills:
- Strong MS Excel modeling skills and demonstrated aptitude for financial analysis
- Knowledge and interest in infrastructure and energy investment markets
- Strong accounting and finance foundation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented mindset in a performance-based environment
