The RFP Manager will handle responses to RFPs.  This includes interacting with roles at all levels of the company within areas such as marketing, product management and sales to customize proposal tools to best position TIAA in the marketplace.  The RFP Manager will also be assigned ad hoc projects at the direction of the RFP Director when necessary.



  • Respond to Request for Proposals in compliance with client requirements.

  • Oversee development and maintenance of Institutional RFP content

  • Work to craft and better position overall TIAA story, including simplifying content structure and integrating stronger client benefit oriented themes

  • Work with Institutional product specialists, Operations, Compliance, Marketing and others in senior management to proactively research product changes, upgrades and other specific additions/enhancements to the database

  • Populate content database with approved and accurate Q and A sets.  Collaborate with business partners to update existing responses as needed per quarterly updates or product changes

  • Create and edit content as necessary

  • Maintain and update SPARK proposal

  • Act as a resource and provide product training to the team

  • Provide RFP document project management support as warranted by each document and RFP writer. Clarify specific RFP questions or response 

  • Provide broader team direction on where to get information for specific bids

  • Monitor and implement quality control standards for content, grammar, style and formatting

  • Ensure knowledgebase responses meet strategic and stylistic standards, in accordance with industry best practices and corporate guidelines

  • Develop and facilitate strong relationships with Sales Consultants, Sales Directors, key business partners/stakeholders, and Institutional partners

  • Develop and facilitate strong relationships with Consultants and Subject Matter Experts throughout the organization



Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience as an RFP/Writing professional and/or financial services project management experience

Desired Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in Journalism/English/Communications/Business/Marketing

  • 5+ with RFP/Writing database software

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project and PowerPoint applications preferred.

  • Experience with  the financial services Compliance and Regulatory landscape

  • Knowledge of Marketing Content development is desired and can be learned on the job

All summer interns start work the first Monday in June.
