Qualifications: 

 

 

Required:  

  • BA or BS  Degree

  • Minimum of 10 years of real estate experience

 

Preferred: 

  • 12+ years of real estate related experience in an asset management role

  • Possesses significant real estate direct property management, construction oversight and asset management  experience and can apply expertly apply that knowledge across the portfolio

  • Strong presentation skills, highly analytical and well organized.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software tools and research methodologies associated with real estate.  Awareness and developing knowledge of real estate fundamentals and willingness to learn additional analytical skills.

  • Experience in transaction execution under direction of senior team members with a strong attention to procedure and detail.

  • Experience as a team contributor working closely with counsel, accountants and internal/institutional back office personnel to authorize and record transactions and to follow procedures.

  • Some experience in mid to high level negotiations with appreciation of importance of factoring in managerial positions and TIAA corporate values and compliance.

  • Appreciation of Nuveen organization structure and client focus of the RE Asset Management team.  Developing skill of understanding client objective and executing on the objectives

  • Strong presentation skills, highly analytical and well organized.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of market factors. Awareness and developing knowledge of real estate fundamentals.

  • Experience in transaction execution under direction of senior transactors with a strong attention to procedure and detail.
