The Web Publishing Specialist is responsible for publishing content to multiple TIAA web domains on behalf of the entire enterprise using Oracle Web Center Sites CMS. The Publishing Specialist will communicate frequently with internal clients from across lines of business and support areas to build desired sites, pages, XML snippets, etc., using an existing component library. Must be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple requests simultaneously that may be in different stages of workflow. Specialist must also be able to articulate to non-technical clients what our CMS does, and does not support, and provide suitable alternatives for non-CMS-supported requests.



  • Using our Web Content Management System (Oracle Web Center Sites) publish content to our live sites on behalf of all lines of business; test own work in all browsers and all platforms, including mobile; use workflow tool to complete fulfill requests

  • Fluidly work between multiple digital platforms to fulfill requests, including Aprimo, Oracle, Adobe, SharePoint and others; manage multiple projects, multiple lines of business and multiple partnerships simultaneously; develop expertise in the user interfaces of all our web publishing systems, the different environments of each, what work is done in which environments, and how they interact

  • Receive, review and test new templates, template changes and functional elements from Development partners, and provide content feeds that meet functional requirements for secure environments, and testing the integration of content, templates and XML consumption; maintain familiarity with IT Release calendar and associated outages and upgrades

  • Work with Analytics team and advise on content and/or development changes, when necessary, to ensure appropriate metrics are being captured

  • Proactively expand knowledge of all asset types and usage, component functionality, site map and navigation, content ownership, and scheduled IT releases





Required Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years’ experience working with web content management systems, including template concepts and usage, familiarity with the range of asset types involved in creating web pages, workflow, and general asset administration

  • HTML, CSS 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Oracle Web Center Sites experience a major plus

  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google or Adobe) and experience publishing A/B tests and targeted/personalized content also desired
