The Nuveen Solutions Team is focused on delivering a wide-range of investment expertise across asset classes to our clients through insights, model portfolios, packaged investment capabilities and custom mandates. Nuveen Solutions brings together Nuveen’s best thinking and full breadth of investment capabilities to deliver portfolios aligned with investors’ desired outcomes. The Solutions team includes dedicated investment professionals who leverage the team’s asset allocation research, analysis, and insights from Nuveen’s asset class leaders to deliver portfolios that serve individual and institutional investors.  The Client Solutions Team is responsible for working with distribution partners and their clients to deliver and promote the team’s insights, packaged investment capabilities and design customized mandates across retail, retirement and institutional channels.


The Client Solutions Analyst will work with the entire Client Solutions team, as well as the broader Nuveen Solutions team to ensure proper application and consistency of investment views coming from the team and use that information to support new business development and client servicing activities. The analyst will work with all members of the team to constantly educate themselves on capital market dynamics, the team’s overall investment philosophy and process, and the application through different delivery methods.  The role requires a basic understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction techniques, and strong verbal and written communication skills.


·        Work closely with Client Solutions Specialists to drive new business development and client servicing activities, by developing and updating relevant client marketing materials—including pitchbooks, thought leadership, sales ideas, etc.

·        Partner with Client Solutions Specialist to complete RFPs/RFIs in support of new business and client servicing activities

·        Support Nuveen distribution teams as needed with thorough, detailed, and timely responses to inquiries about specific multi-asset strategies and broader solutions opportunities related to specific client outcomes

·        Responsible for partnering with marketing team to provide timely updates, including quarterly attribution reports, to all materials on model portfolios, packaged products, customized mandates and thought leadership

·        Proactively engage with distribution partners, by effectively summarizing and disseminating investment team views including capital market summaries, strategic and tactical allocation decisions and portfolio positioning.

·        Provide timely and relevant competitive insights to distribution partners

·        Responsible for coordinating with distribution partners to drive new client meeting and call coordination, as well as ensuring connectivity with broader CRM platform

·        Learn the asset management business, with a focus on asset allocation, and help grow dialog with both internal business partners, as well as eventually externally, to help position our capabilities with clients and consultants



Required Skills:


·        Bachelor’s degree required

·        Minimum 1 year of experience in the financial services industry

·        FINRA Series 7 and 66 or ability to obtain upon employment


Preferred/Desired Skills:



·        General understanding of investment products including mutual funds, separately managed accounts and closed end funds a plus

·        Multi-asset experience is a plus

·        General understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction methods and how they are used to fulfil investor goals

·        Familiarity with investment data tools including Morningstar Direct and FactSet, Bloomberg

·        Highly Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

·        Ability to simply and effectively describe complex ideas to different audiences

·        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and timelines

·        A team player that believes in the power of collaborative work and builds relationships with co-workers in a collegial and respectful manner
