POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This role will be responsible for leading and managing the Institutional RFP team to develop and execute comprehensive quality and marketing initiatives for the Institutional RFP team that coordinates, writes, and delivers responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for TIAA’s institutional business units. The Director will demonstrate solid subject matter expertise of the institutional sales process and serve as the main interface with senior leaders at all levels of the company.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
  • Leading a team of writers whose main responsibilities include responding to industry standard proposals, delivering custom RFP/RFI responses, writing executive summaries, updating consultant databases, and answering topical and due diligence questionnaires. 

  • Forecasting, managing daily capacity and implementing processes that ensure that TIAA is best positioned within the marketplace. 

  • Monitoring team deliverables and providing the appropriate reporting to management to help identify trends and recommend improvement strategies

  • Participating in cross-business projects to ensure that the RFP team continues to evolve with the business

  • Overseeing updates to the content knowledgebase

  • Assigning daily deliverables to the RFP team

  • Inspiring high quality results within tight timelines

  • Developing and facilitating strong relationships with Sales Consultants, Sales Directors and other key business partners/stakeholders

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

Required Qualifications: 

  • BS/BA required

  • 10+ years of experience in the retirement industry and/or overall financial services 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • BA/BS degree in Journalism/English/Communications/Business/Marketing

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project and PowerPoint applications

  • Experience learning and adopting new platforms and approaches

  • Proficient in RFP technology platforms

  • Experience with  the financial services Compliance and Regulatory landscape

  • Knowledge of Marketing Content development is desired and can be learned on the job
