This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties.  Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.


This role is located on our TIAA office in Charlotte, NC, Iselin, NJ will be currently remote. The current length of assignment is six months.


POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Sr. Developer

TIAA is seeking a Non Employee Sr. Developer to join their team in Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ.  This position will be responsible for the development and design of enterprise wide, operational control systems and automation software. The custom tools we build are critical for day-to-day operations by our command center. In addition, automation platforms will be leveraged to support our large in-house developer population.

The ideal candidate will possess experience as a Full Stack Developer with experience in Java and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline augmentation. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and be exposed to emerging technologies such as AWS and Automation.

 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Perform full-lifecycle application development.

Design, coding and debug applications in various software languages.

Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.

Perform peer review of code.

Integrate data storage solutions.

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Perform software analysis, code analysis, and requirements analysis, and software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.

Transform vital business requirements into code and drive innovation.

Provide estimates and logical work plan to deliver applications on time and within budget that meets or exceeds quality standards.

Deliver innovate designs of high complexity which allow building a scalable end-to-end architecture.

Drive analysis of problems to understand root cause and provide recommended solutions.

Work with diverse stakeholders throughout our global enterprise, collaborating and integrating code into enterprise systems.

 




Qualifications:


Required:


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science of other technical discipline


Minimum of three (3) years software development experience with server side languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP and .Net


Familiar with how to structure, design, implement and test project based on one language or more such as Object-Oriented design and development,


Demonstrated proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript


Preferred:


Experience working in an agile environment


Exposure to AWS Cloud Services


Experience with Angular


Ability to work in a collaborative team environment


Ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders
