POSITION SUMMARY:

 

 

The Variable Annuity Product Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Variable Annuity Product Marketing and will be responsible for tactical marketing execution for TIAA and CREF variable annuities across B2B (plan sponsor, consultant), B2C (plan participants, individuals) and internal audiences. This includes the developing and updating product marketing collateral, web pages, communications and campaigns to grow and retain assets. TIAA’s variable annuity products include: Eight CREF accounts, TIAA Real Estate Account (REA) and Access variable annuities.  The candidate will manage investment pitch book presentations, implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, and help support distribution teams by creating relevant product resources. This individual will build and maintain strong partnerships with product business partners, compliance and marketing centers of excellence to deliver initiatives on a timely and cost-efficient basis.

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

  • Develop content and launch new variable annuity institutional pitch books within Seismic tool; update/maintain product slide libraries on an ongoing basis; identify opportunities to enhance content, increase adoption and promote internally to client-facing teams.

  • Update/maintain product marketing content on internal online Knowledge Exchange repository site

  • Execute variable annuity campaigns to grow and retain assets. Work with internal and external agency partners to develop email and direct mail content. Implement secure web banners. Facilitate internal campaign communications with employees. Create client-facing campaign support materials such as toolkits.

  • Maintain variable annuity web content on TIAA B2C and B2B web sites.

 


 

Requirements Skills
  • BA/BS required
  •  5-7 years related financial services marketing experience required

  • Experience in developing B2C and/or B2B marketing strategies and communications to support product goals.

  • Experience with cross-channel marketing programs (digital, phone, mail, etc.).

  • Product knowledge of variable annuities or mutual funds

     
 
Preferred Skills
  • Strong sales orientation; takes initiative to implement necessary tactics to successfully execute strategic programs 

  • Excellent project management, organization skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure
  • Independent problem solving
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Experience in 401k/403b retirement space a plus
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and to deliver creative go-to market strategies and programs in a timely fashion

  • Relationship building skills
