As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

The objective of the Title & Escrow Closer is to provide all clients with professional Title, Escrow and Settlement services.

Essential Functions

•Prepare HUD-1 Settlement Statements
•Prepare title and closing documents
•Review curative documents
•Effectively answers borrower’s questions regarding the closing process
•Interpret and execute lender’s closing instructions
•Review title commitments to assure all defects have been satisfied
•Follow up with borrower on missing documents

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•Knowledge of specific fees for at least 5 states
•Knowledge of multiple title insurance guidelines, rules and regulations
•Proficient in the use of Closers’ Choice software
•Experience with title commitments, including requirements and exceptions
•Knowledge of all title documents, such as foreclosure proceedings, deeds, mortgages, surveys, trust, judgments, liens, easements, etc.
•Ability to put all clients at ease during the closing process
•Excellent multitasking ability
•Experience with ordering and reviewing payoff statements


•High school diploma or its equivalent required
•At least 3 years of experience in a title insurance agency and settlement/escrow office required
•At least 3 year of title clearance experience required
•At least 1 year of experience with Closers’ Choice software (including the input of a HUD-1 Settlement statement - not the review of a HUD-1, the actual preparation) required
