POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Perform independent validations of models covering a wide range of financial, economic and actuarial instruments.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 
- Assess models theoretical and conceptual soundness
- Evaluate model assumptions and limitations including input data and parameters, design and methodology
- Verify model implementation and performance
- Identify underlying model risk drivers and assess overall model risk level
- Document the review as well as any recommendations on improvements  
 
Team members have advanced knowledge of mathematics/physics/financial math and have 3 - 5 years working experience in quantitative financial modeling or model validation covering one or several of the following areas: stochastic processes/derivatives/structured products/credit and market risk/fixed income/asset allocation/actuarial/ALM. Programming skills in in both general-purpose languages such as C++, Java, Python and computational/statistical/data languages such as Matlab, SAS, R, SQL

 

  

 


REQUIRED:
 
- Master's Degree - Must be in a quantitative discipline in quantitative finance or hard science such as mathematics, physics, chemistry or engineering
 
- 1 - 3 Years of experience - Experience in mathematical finance, statistics, numerical methods. Content knowledge with respect to finance theory and financial instruments.  Quantitative modeling or model validation experience.
 
PREFERRED:
