  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • FINRA Series 7 required at the time of application, Series 7 and 63 preferred
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of Institutional and/or Retail Platform management experience

  • Advanced understanding of features and benefits of all TIAA products and platforms

  • Solid understanding of investment products: mutual funds, CIT’s, annuities

  • Negotiation of Sales and Servicing agreements and amendments.   An understanding of legal agreement structure and the financial impact of the revenue sharing fee arrangements.

  • Advanced understanding of Share class and Revenue Share impacts

  • Working knowledge of Back office or Fund Operations knowledge (i.e., trade settlement, large trade notification, other Fund Oversight)

  • In-depth understanding of each of TIAA’s various business units in order to represent these platforms to any and all outside investment firms

  • Analytical skills for development of quarterly oversight reporting

  • Ability to representation TIAA at various industry events or symposiums
  • May require travel up to 10-15% of the time with the expectation to be out of the office more frequently due to client meetings
  • Advanced relationship development and management

  • Ability to identify appropriate partnership opportunities with effective probing techniques

  • Advanced time management skills, ability to shift priorities when circumstances change

Get introduced to a career at a Fortune 100 financial services organization while you apply your skills and talents to challenging and meaningful projects. You’ll receive professional development training, participate in networking sessions and social activities, and gain valuable exposure to TIAA senior executives through the Executive Speakers Series. All summer interns start work the first Monday in June.


Open to current students, rising senior or first year graduate level.


Locations include Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Iselin, NJ; Boston, MA; and Denver, CO. Nuveen - Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; and Newport Beach, CA. TIAA Bank - Jacksonville, FL and Mount Laurel, NJ.
