As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the closing of all loans through gathering and reviewing all documentation necessary to provide the funding for mortgage loans. They are directly responsible for working with the appropriate funding source and closing agents to coordinate fund transfers for all closing loans. They handle the more complex files and less routine tasks.


Essential Functions

•Audit loan closing file to verify all necessary information is complete and accurate; checklist provided.
•Reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
•Coordinate loan funding through working with inside and outside funding sources, title agencies, and other closing agents.
•Disburse funds after closing conditions are met.
•Track closings to ensure correct funds are issued and funds are taken back when loans do not close.
•Coordinate funding cancellation tasks to ensure funds are received back and all information is properly documented.
•Send all files to Post Closing after loan has closed, track this process.
•Perform tracking and reporting functions to keep closed and funded loan status up to date.
•Communicate disbursement logs to verify funding and payoff status.
•Interact with Brokers, Account Executives, Bank Attorney’s, Settlement Agents, and Closers to meet funding requirements.

Knowledge, Sills and Abilities

•Basic Computer Skills
•General knowledge of closing documents (Hazard/Flood Insurance, Title and Tax information, Flood Certificates)
•Must be able to multi-task without compromising attention to detail
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•Good organizational and time management skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Excellent customer service skills, ability to act professional under time pressured circumstances



•High school diploma required
•2 years mortgage experience required
•2 years funding experience preferred
•Knowledge of RESPA rules and regulations preferred
