POSITION SUMMARY:
 

This individual will be responsible for developing and managing the data architecture to support marketing analytics and reporting.  This individual will partner with technology and individuals across the Customer Insight organization to define, design, and build scalable solutions and processes to support key marketing analytics initiatives.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Responsible for architecting, developing, managing, and automating data solutions to support advanced reporting and analytic solutions for marketing

  • Support the data needs for key marketing analytics initiatives.  Examples may include multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, net promoter score, customer segmentation, and propensity modeling

  • Maintain data controls and quality control programs across marketing data sources

  • Work with team members to design and create standardized SAS programs and data to more efficiently support reporting metrics

  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests from senior leadership

  • Participate in technical design reviews and provide technical expertise

 

  

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with SAS or SQL to access, transform, and report on data is required.  The individual is expected to be “hands-on” with the data

  • Bachelors’ Degree in computer science or related business, engineering or quantitative field (e.g. CS, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.)

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with SAS required (EG a strong plus), intermediate to expert SQL skills and experience with large data warehousing environments (Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, etc.)

  • Experience with Tableau or other BI/visualization tool

  • Exposure to UNIX programming

  • Marketing analytics and operations including database marketing, direct marketing measurement, response attribution or campaign related data

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry

The intern experience

Get introduced to a career at a Fortune 100 financial services organization while you apply your skills and talents to challenging and meaningful projects. You’ll receive professional development training, participate in networking sessions and social activities, and gain valuable exposure to TIAA senior executives through the Executive Speakers Series. All summer interns start work the first Monday in June.
