As a part of TIAA’s Financial Solutions business, TIAA Bank, a division of TIAA, FSB, provides full-service, nationwide banking and lending services to consumer, commercial and institutional clients through a variety of channels, including online, its Florida-based financial centers and at other business offices throughout the country.

Primary Characteristics
The Campaign Planning & Execution Consultant on the Campaign Planning & Execution (CPE) Team will be responsible for optimizing offline and online marketing performance through a combination of quantitative analysis and marketing technology solutions. The successful candidate will execute marketing campaigns and make recommendations to improve the targeting and treatment strategies of direct and digital marketing channels within a test and learn approach. This position will formulate functional requirements and coordinate inter-departmentally with technical and business teams to ensure successful marketing campaign automation and implementation, automation packages, stored procedures, risk assessments, and controls while helping support the Bank’s marketing datamarts. The CPE Center of Excellence will focus on participating in planning the direct marketing effort, timely and error free campaign execution, and continuously improve the contact and response tracking processes.

Essential Functions

  • Plan and execute campaigns; design and execute experimental test designs and ad hoc analysis and present conclusions to marketing, client experience, and sales partners
  • Consult with marketing management on all marketing channels including lead gen, cross-sell, activation, retention, and win-back through email, direct mail, digital, and phone
  • Consult on marketing contact strategies for targeting, segmentation, cadence, and medium
  • Increase campaign productivity and speed to market through campaign automation and triggering
  • Gather requirements for marketing campaigns and execute projects using SQL, SAS, SQLServer, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, QlikView, and other programming languages/tools as necessary; create and maintain process documentation and contact history files
  • Assist with actionable insights and analysis to make recommendations on strategic campaign decisions
  • Develop and maintain decision support capabilities (contact planning, campaign pro formas, and campaign management applications)
  • Export tracking data to email, web, and CRM systems for lead tracking and analysis
  • Collaborate with other analytical teams (web analytics, business analysts, client experience, agency analytics teams, etc.) to support campaigns and analytics
  • Work with statisticians/modelers to improve analytic data and optimize campaign targeting and effectiveness
  • Work with client and marketing analytics team to manage efforts related to the design, implementation of Marketing datamarts; support the structure, content and accuracy of the datamarts to meet marketing reporting, analysis and modeling requirements
  • Partner with enterprise Data Administrators and Information Technology in the supervision of marketing data including data sources and data hygiene
  • Lead campaign execution efforts for pre-planning, timely & error free campaign execution, contact history, response history, and contact tracking
  • Support Information Management building the marketing environment data marts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

  • Proven experience with database marketing, customer segmentation, and results analysis
  • Knowledge of statistics, confidence intervals, sampling, and test/control cells
  • Working knowledge of databases, data structures and use of data marts
  • Ability to write Pseudocode & Flowchart
  • Ability to write business requirements, user acceptance test cases, and scripts
  • Proficiency with SQL databases and good understanding of how database management systems work
  • Experience with Project Management Tools like MS Project
  • Ability to understand and create Gantt Charts
  • Experience with extracting and analyzing data from diverse sources (multiple datamarts and file formats)
  • Advanced analytic and problem solving skills
  • Must possess the ability to convey ideas articulately to internal and external customers, peers, and management with good presentation skills
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial work environment
  • Highly organized, able to manage full documentation, planning, and project deadlines including timely status updates in RoboHead tracking software
  • Ability to effortlessly map marketing ideas to technical requirements and, vice versa, map new technologies to marketing opportunities
  • Good listener, quick learner, great communicator, executive presence, and team player
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
  • Advanced Visio experience
Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and two (2) years of work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in marketing analytics
  • Three (3) years of programming experience in SAS & SQL
  • Three (3) years of data mining application experience with SAS Enterprise
  • Guide and SAS Enterprise Miner

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • Industry knowledge in Banking and Lending
  • Experience in Business Intelligence Applications: Tableau, QlikView, SSRS
  • Three (3) years of programming experience in R, Java, C, VB, .Net
  • Experience with Enterprise Campaign Management (ECM) and CRM tools
  • Experience with Data Management, Campaign Automation, Business
  • Intelligence, Reporting Tools and Design
  • Two (2) years of Visio experience
