POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Faces off to one or more Business Area areas working with the aligned Business Continuity Leaders and provides consultation and guidance to business/support area business continuity resources in the development, maturation and ongoing sustainability of the Corporate Business Continuity and Enterprise Crisis Management programs, including:  program administration, governance and oversight of business continuity related risk assessments, supplier resiliency risk assessments, business continuity plans and business continuity testing. Participates in the Manager On Duty rotation to facilitate enterprise crisis response activities including monitoring for, and communicating business disruption threats. Analyzes threats for crisis event impacts across the company and activate regional/corporate response teams as needed for regional and/or enterprise level disruptions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

As a resiliency partner and subject matter expert working independently and under limited supervision, provides consultation, governance and oversight of business continuity and crisis management deliverables across multiple business areas.

Provides consultation on:

Effective response and recovery plans.  

Facilitation of crisis response during an event lifecycle.  

Develops and delivers direction and training to business area business continuity resources relating to meeting requirements for TIAA’s Business Continuity and Crisis Management Programs including the comprehensive identification of business processes and their resource dependencies. Executes business continuity and crisis management on/off-boarding activities for partners. Performs Supplier Resiliency risk assessments for key TIAA suppliers.

Is proficient in the use of the business continuity and crisis management tools.


Partnering closely with off-shore resources (we will be working with employees who are international and not just in India)


Responsible for challenging the quality and viability of the business’ continuity plans


Required:

-Work Experience equivalent to BA/BS
-5+ years of Business Continuity experience 

Preferred:

-BA/BS Degree
- CBCP or MBCP, or CBCI or MBCI Certificate or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment 
-7+ years of Business Continuity experience with proficient knowledge of business continuity and crisis management principals
-May be highly experienced in event response/ recovery.
-Skills and Abilities: Project Management expertise and excellent presentation skills.
-Ability to work independently across a number of business/support areas and locations to provide direction and governance in the execution of the Corporate -Business Continuity and Enterprise Crisis Management Programs.
-Demonstrated ability to influence and obtain buy-in of program objectives & strategy, without having direct reporting authority  
-Must have excellent oral presentation skills for large and small audiences and be comfortable using video tools when presenting (e.g. telepresence).
-Must have excellent writing skills
